Well, if that wasn't the most... unreasonable trip I've ever taken, I can't say I know what was.

[Cheria looks a little ragged today, her hair still something of a frizzy tussled mess, and some of the Pokemon around her look a bit exhausted as well. The feed eventually pans to show that she's on the Fuschia beach, and hey it is a nice beach at least.]

So did anyone else get weirdly teleported around? I went to sleep just outside of the city and woke up out to sea at the Seafoam islands. I just... my gear was broke and there aren't any ferries going directly from there, so at least thank goodness I had plenty of water types to surf with? [But her life, please.]

I guess this post is to say I'm not missing or dead or stuck somewhere, I was just lost to sea for a little while there.

Oh, that's right, someone did mention that before. Did she give you a hard fight?

A bit of a fight, yeah. It was a long while ago, before I had as many Pokemon as I do now, but since I'm a breeder, I technically didn't need to fight her. I just wanted to try the gym challenge, so it's the only badge I have and the only HM I've earned. [She's quite proud of herself for it.]

You decided to hit two birds with one stone, then. You should try the Water-type Gym, if there's one out there. It turns out that they really enjoy battling trainers who use their own elements.

There is! I didn't challenge her while I was up there, but Misty allowed me to let some of my larger water types relax in the gym pool, simply because there wasn't another place to put them so they could eat and stretch out.

I bet they must have liked that. Did they get the chance to play with her Pokémon at the same time? Everyone fights them, but I don't think anyone bothers to just hang out with them.

Hehe, they did! I'd like to think several of them have gone and become fast friends, so after summer has ended and the ocean is a little too cold for them all, I may go back to Cerulean if Misty would let me use her gym again every now and then.

I'm sure she'll say yes. Gym leaders usually care a lot about their type, don't they? I bet she'll be happy to save a few Water-types from the horrors of cold beaches.

They're very passionate about Pokemon in general, but their type in particular they feel very strongly for. Honestly, from how long I've taken care of water types, you could say they're my favorable type too.

As long as you don't use that as an excuse to play favorites, I'm sure the rest of your team won't mind at all.

Never. Favorites just aren't fair to anyone, even to myself.

And in most cases, it would be impossible to choose one even if you wanted that.
