Hey, network, what.. kind of flowers do you like? Do they have any significance to you, or are they just plants?

[Her tone is a bit quieter than it's been in a while, but then again, she's been so busy traveling and just getting to Goldenrod that with her first few days off in a while of working, Cheria finally has the chance to really explore the city. She didn't even know there was a flower shop tucked in the upper corner, wrapped within several smaller buildings that looked more like office buildings than businesses.

What caught her eye the most though, was a large pot full of sopherias right near the door. Most were in bloom, but the little flowers had her thinking of home again, her hands folding together and holding tight, almost to reassure herself.]

Sophie... hang in there.

[She nods, but still looks a little down about it.] It doesn't matter so much now, I've been healthy ever since... [Sophie "died".]

Ewer since wwhat? [Yup going to ask]

[Well, it's her fault for leaving that comment open like that. Giving a soft sigh, she watches the flowers instead.] My friend, Sophie, we were all told she died when we snuck into the castle corridors. We found the prince lying on the ground and a weird monster hovering over him. I don't remember much after seeing it, I just remember being knocked aside really hard. But when I woke up, I was back home and being told that I wasn't allowed to leave town again until I was older. [It's still hard to think about; the memory hurt.]

When both Asbel and myself were older and we were at the hill, she reappeared somehow, but without her memories of us. She regained them slowly, but we never really... figured out where she went during the seven years since we had last seen her.

[He listens, and doesn't even have any snide remark about it.]

...Huh. Wweird.

[Cheria just nods in quiet agreement, but moves to get up and push a smile onto her face, even though she still looks more upset.] She was injured very badly recently, and lost her eyesight. There wasn't.. anything I could do for her. [Except hop a ship to a totally different world, and even then, as soon as they landed, she woke up here.]

You're lucky she didn't get culled, that's wwhat wwoulda happened on Alternia.

For... for what? For taking an attack at point blank, because there's something wrong with Richard? They're friends, they're very good friends, and the fact that he attacked her like that... [Sorry Eridan, her voice is lifting a bit, shaking in a touch of anger.] I... I trust Asbel, and I trust him and Sophie's friendship with Richard, but I can't stand how he's been acting!

[She may not be an overly emotional person, but her worries about Sophie are kicking into high gear; Cheria can't even make crablettes for her, way out here in Johto in any attempt to make her feel even slightly better. Reaching up and vigorously rubbing at her eyes, she turns away for a few minutes to take a few breaths.

It's not normal for human friends to be that wiolent though, right? I mean you sorta expect it wwith trolls especially wwith highbloods wwe're meant to be wiolent, but they'd face the repercussions too.

It's not, and something really is wrong with him, but we can't figure out just what it is. He was never like that when we first met him, and from the few times I encountered him during my relief work, he was nothing but kind. This change is just so... so unlike him.

[Sucking in a few breaths, Cheria manages to calm herself down enough to turn back around, shaking her head.] I'm sorry, I didn't mean to lash out like that.

Maybe he wwas alwways like that an' you just didn't see it til noww.

Maybe... I just really hope not. [It would break Asbel and Sophie's hearts.]

Wwho knowws. [Most trolls are just naturally like that an yway, it really isn't too much of a big deal to him.]

[She nods, but she still can't keep her hopes from sinking. There has to be a reason.]

Mm. It's something we have to figure out, sooner or later. [Sighing quietly, Cheria moves then to go inside and pay for the flowers. When she comes back out, she picks a good handful.]

[Eridan's pretty content just hanging out here and doing nothing. Just watching her, in a non-creeper sense.]

[Once she's gathered enough flowers to cover what she paid, Cheria offers a quiet smile.] Ready to go?

[roemance]

Yeah, if you are. [He gets up from the ground]

[She nods.] Thank you for listening. Sorry it wasn't really... cheerful, but talking about it made me feel better.
