There's got to be a flashlight in here somewhere...

[There's a soft, light voice coming from offscreen, pointing off into the water with scenery familiar to most beginners; just outside Mom's house, and the lights are off and that door looks quite locked. The user of this gear was patting around, rummaging through a heavy sounding bag, but... something in the darkness moves.

The rustling of plastic on grass is out of place enough to startle the voice, because there's a squeak.]

Is someone there? Hello?

[Nothing but more rustling, and it's weirding the girl out. Picking up the gear and finally flicking on the flashlight that was found, there's a brief picture of her face finally, but something is leaping off screen and making her scream sharply, dropping the gear.]

Alright...but everything about this isn't really normal. The part where we're brought here and get stuck in this world. [He knows about different worlds, but the last he heard, world hopping's pretty dangerous for humans.] There's a lot we don't know about things.

I suppose it isn't. I really don't like the idea that I was just... scooped up like that. I hope my friends back home aren't exhausting themselves, looking for me.

You don't have to worry about them. Time's stopped back home, so whenever you get back, it's as if you never left.

I dunno. I haven't experience it for myself, but other people left Johto and came back before...if they remember Johto in the first place.

My card says a breeder.. so at least I'm not fighting! I'm not really fond of fighting unless I have to as it is, so making the Pokemon fight doesn't sound like a good fit for me.

I enjoy the challenge, so I don't mind being a trainer. As long my Pokemon's still willing to fight for me.

So it's more like.. sparring? To see who is stronger?

That's right. To prove which Pokemon is a better fighter, and which trainer is a better strategist.

Hm.. That's not as bad as I thought then. Sparring is okay. I'll have to get used to it, I suppose, if that's the only way to really raise a Pokemon's levels.

There's other ways of training, but battling's usually easier for gaining levels.
